Travel is charged at $4/km from our Kwinana base. The first 20km is free for 3m screen bookings. There is no free travel zone on 5m or 8m screen bookings. Use the suburb price finder to see your exact total.

Screens & equipment
We operate 3m inflatable, 3m framed, 5m community, and 8m community screens. The 3m screens suit events up to 30 guests. The 5m suits 30 to 300 guests. The 8m suits major events up to 1,200 guests.
Both are 3 metres wide and the same price ($280). The inflatable sets up faster (20 minutes) and looks more dramatic. The framed screen takes 45 minutes, handles wind better, and can be set up on hard surfaces without tent pegs. We select which one suits your venue on the day — you don't need to specify.
Yes. A professional-grade outdoor projector and calibrated PA system are included with every screen hire. You bring the playback device (streaming device, DVD player, gaming console, or laptop). We connect it.
We connect to: streaming devices (Apple TV, Fire Stick, Chromecast, Nvidia Shield), DVD/Blu-Ray players, gaming consoles with HDMI output, or laptops. Mobile phone connections are not recommended but possible if you supply the HDMI adapter. We provide the HDMI connection.
Yes — bean bags are available for hire separately. Delivery applies. $11 per bag. Contact us for a minimum order and delivery cost to your suburb.
Bean bags ($11/bag), party pack — smoke machine, bubble machine, laser light ($250/48hr), silent inverter ($150 for 3m/5m events), speaker upgrade ($100 for 500+ person events), wireless microphones ($50 pair), search lights ($100 each), audience lighting ($300), DJ (from $75/hr).
No. You supply the playback device and the content — your streaming account, DVD, or downloaded file. We supply everything else. For public screenings, you also need to obtain a film licence (see below).
The 3m screen needs roughly 5 metres of clear width and 4 to 5 metres of depth for setup, plus 3 to 25 metres of viewing distance for the audience. Most standard Perth suburban backyards accommodate this. A clear path from the setup area to parking (within 30 metres) helps with equipment access.
Power & logistics
A standard 240V 10-amp power point within 50 metres of the screen location. We carry 50 metres of extension cable. If no power is available, a silent battery inverter ($150) runs the full 3m or 5m setup with zero engine noise.
We bring a silent lithium battery inverter ($150) that runs the entire 3m or 5m setup for 90 to 120 minutes without engine noise — suitable for parks, large properties, and venues without accessible power. The 8m screen requires a generator ($300) due to its higher power draw.
Yes. The framed screen and all community screens can be set up on hard surfaces using ballast weights. Weight hire for the 3m screen on hard surfaces is $30. For the 5m screen: $150. For the 8m: $500.
We arrive 90 minutes before your film start time. Setup takes 30 to 45 minutes for the 3m screen, 60 to 90 minutes for the 5m, and 90 to 120 minutes for the 8m. We're ready well before darkness for calibration and testing.
Yes. The framed 3m screen handles elevated and exposed locations well. It's weighted rather than pegged, so it works on decking, pavers, and any surface where tent pegs aren't suitable. For rooftop events, we assess access and wind conditions before confirming.
We carry backup equipment to every event. Projector failure is extremely rare — we maintain all equipment between events. If a fault occurs that can't be resolved on-site, we discuss options: reschedule, partial refund, or another resolution based on what's most practical.
Timing & weather
Check the Bureau of Meteorology (bom.gov.au) for your event date. Add 30 minutes to the sunset time for a watchable image, 45 minutes for a good picture. In summer: movie starts 8:30 to 9pm. In autumn: 7:30pm. In winter: 7pm.
Autumn — April and May — offers the best conditions. Sunset around 6pm allows a 7pm movie start, which suits families with young children. Summer forces an 8:30pm start and can be warm. Perth winters are mild enough for outdoor cinema with blankets.
We monitor BOM in the days before your event. If rain is forecast, we contact you to discuss options. We offer a free reschedule to any available date within 12 months. Perth weather is generally reliable, but we're flexible when it isn't.
In sheltered backyards and inland locations, the inflatable screen handles Perth's typical evening conditions without issue. For coastal locations (Cottesloe, Hillarys, Fremantle, Rockingham) or exposed settings, we bring the framed screen which is significantly more wind-resistant. We make this call based on your location and the forecast.
Yes. We operate year-round. Perth winters are mild — typical June evenings are 14 to 18°C. With blankets and bean bags, outdoor cinema in winter is comfortable. The early sunset (around 5:30pm) means you can start the film by 6:30pm.
Community, school & corporate events
Yes — $10 million public liability insurance. WHS Act 2020 (WA) compliant. AS/NZS 3760 test and tag current on all equipment. Certificate of currency, JSA, WMP, and test and tag records all available within 24 hours of booking for councils, schools, and venue operators.
Yes. Most Perth councils require an event permit for public space screenings. Allow 2 to 4 weeks for permit processing. We provide all contractor documentation required: capability statement, $10M public liability, JSA, WMP, and AS/NZS 3760 test and tag. Named additional insured on the policy is available.
Any public screening where tickets are sold or the public is invited requires a film licence from Roadshow PPL (ppl.roadshow.com.au). Budget $200 to $600 depending on film and expected audience. Obtain the licence before publicly announcing the film. Private events on private property (invited guests only) typically don't require one.
200 people at $12 per ticket: $2,400 gross. Subtract $600 for the 5m screen and approximately $350 for a film licence. Net: $1,400 to $1,450 from one evening. 300-person events net $2,500 to $2,800. Add food/beverage sales for more.
For 20 to 60 people: 3m screen ($280). For 60 to 300 people: 5m screen ($600). For 300+ people: 8m screen ($1100). The 5m is the most common choice for Perth corporate events — right scale, right cost.
Yes. We travel to Bunbury, Busselton, Mandurah, and the broader South West regularly. For more remote locations, we quote on a case-by-case basis. Travel costs are included in the quote.
